I am a Senior Researcher at Microsoft Research Asia. I am working on building efficient AI and cloud infrastructure. Specifically:

• Efficient RDMA systems. My research covers almost the whole stack of RDMA including software (CCL and virtualization), NIC microarchitecture (NIC architecture for novel protocols and NIC-host interaction), transport layer (congestion control, flow control, load balancing, and reliable delivery).
• AI infrastructure simulation. I focus on efficient simulation platform, and accurate AI workload generation.
• SmartNIC for future AI and cloud. I focus on specialized NIC for large scale AI, and resource disaggregation with SmartNIC.

Before joining Microsoft, I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Technology from Tsinghua University in 2018, advised by Prof. Fengyuan Ren. Before that, I got my B.E in Computer Science and Technology from Tsinghua University in 2011.
