Is the Surface Laptop touchscreen?
Yes. Every Surface Laptop features a responsive, high-resolution touchscreen display that makes it easy to tap, scroll and interact directly with your content. The touch experience is fluid and precise – ideal for quick navigation, reviewing documents and working in compatible creative apps. Surface Laptop is optimised for touch interaction and does not support pen input, including Surface Slim Pen.
Which Surface Laptop is best for programming or coding needs?
For programming and coding, the Surface Laptop 13.8-inch and 15-inch models are excellent choices. Do Surface Laptops come with Microsoft Office?
Surface Laptop does not include a Microsoft Office licence. To get Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the full Microsoft 365 suite, you can add a subscription during checkout or purchase one separately. Windows and Microsoft 365 work seamlessly together on Surface, delivering the most integrated productivity experience available.
Is Surface Laptop good for gaming?
Surface Laptop supports a wide range of PC gaming experiences, including many popular titles available through the XBOX app and PC Game Pass. What ports does Surface Laptop have?
Surface Laptop offers a versatile set of ports tailored to each screen size. The 13-inch model includes two USB-C (USB 3.2) ports, one USB-A port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The 13.8-inch and 15-inch models feature two USB-C (USB4) ports, one USB-A port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a Surface Connect port for charging and docking. The 15-inch model also includes a MicroSDXC Express card reader for expanded storage flexibility.
What’s the difference between 8GB, 16GB, and higher memory options?
Devices with 8GB of memory are designed for everyday tasks like browsing, streaming, schoolwork, and productivity apps, delivering a smooth and responsive experience for common use. Devices with 16GB or more provide additional headroom for multitasking and demanding applications, while also enabling Copilot+ PC experiences, including advanced on-device AI features. All configurations include Windows 11 and Copilot, with AI assistance available through cloud-based experiences.
