Feels well worth it, upgraded my V1 and could not be happier. The stick tension is noticeable when tightened and the paddles are shorter, it weighs the same as v1 imo and the new grips are brilliant. Also the v2 app is better. If you like FPS games like i do, you wont be disappointed with this controller.

Faulty sent back
Feels amazing. Way better than the original elite. I will update this review should I encounter any issues. Fingers crossed 🤞 Edit: B button not registering much sent back for replacement.

A false promise.
Purchased on launch and after having three in total due to faults I have reverted back to the original until the problems are rectified. First of all, the feel and quality of this controller is impeccable. It screams premium product the moment you open the case. Genuine upgrades over the first elite are the bumpers, trigger grips and stops, the grips wrapped around the controller and the battery. Biggest selling point for me was the stick tensioners. They're amazing. Now the bad bits. First controller had severe stick drift. 4% on left stick 13% on right. Returned to store and replaced immediately. Second controller had a clicking noise coming from the left trigger and felt like it was scraping against something. Third controller had 9% drift/dead zone on left and 10% on right. Totally unacceptable. My screen would move on MW and Apex without holding the controller. You can visibly see the sticks do not centre on these controllers. Bitterly disappointed to say the least. DO NOT BUY STILL POOR QUAILTY FOR THE MONEY
I bought this direct from Microsoft store, the left stick has drift already after 2 weeks making it unusable for playing games and keeps losing connection with my Xbox. They won’t refund so having to send it for repair which will take 11 days so won’t be able to use my Xbox over Christmas. That is totally unacceptable, the grips are not great. There are far better controllers out there. This is not a new controller they have just relaunch the Elite 1 with a few minor tweaks.

After 4 attempts, MS could not sell me one that works!
This could have been the greatest controller ever made, however, after going through 4 different ones, from 3 different lot numbers, they all had issues out of the box. All 4 had an A button that sometimes didn't register when pressed. 2. had an issue where pressing RB once would sometimes register 2 presses. 2 had an issue where the right stick could not be clicked when in certain positions, as if something underneath it was blocking it. Check the Elite Series 2 megathread on Reddit's r/XboxOne sub-Reddit and you will find hundreds of people with these issues, with some people going through up to 9 replacements, all faulty out of the box. What's arguably worst of all is that MS knows about this stuff, yet continues to sell it anyway,. I would LOVE one that works and lasts for a several years, but MS can't seem to get beyond "works", so I can only rate this as 1 star. I'd give it 0 if I could.

Wait until the issues are fixed
The controller has face button issues, mainly the A and Y buttons not registering. A lot of people having the same issue right out of the box. I recommend waiting until they sort the issue with a new revision. Otherwise don't bother, I've already got a replacement with the same issue. Also note you only have 14 days to get a refund so don't wait for replacements, it a hardware defect.

Broken A button on delivery
The series 2 was made as a direct replacement and update from the series 1 controller. Ordered brand new from very and it came factory sealed. Took everything out to feel what the controller was like. It felt great. Pressed X, nice, Y, nice, B, nice and then A. Nothing happened. Button went down and stayed down. It popped back after 4 or so seconds so pressed it again and same story. Back into the box for a fun week waiting for a refund. For the cost, this alarmingly common problem should not exist. Maybe on a £20 PDP controller, not a £160 one. 👀

Improvement over gen1 but could be much better
PC BASED REVIEW The controller is really fantastic, USB-C, it feels better than gen1, slightly heavier but I like a heavy controller. the charging hub is fantastic but I feel like they missed an opportunity here. I would like to see a V2 of the charging hub with a good quality built in Bluetooth controller because not everyone has Bluetooth built into their PC/Laptop, and the cost of Bluetooth controllers it would have been a nice touch. The paddle customizability has slightly changed and still limited to controller buttons, another missed opportunity here. Adding new profiles requires the controller to be plugged in directly to a PC, would be nice to do this over Bluetooth or charging hub, If you plug the controller in via USB, you need to remove the Bluetooth device and re-pair it, same issue as gen1 What the marketing does not mention, there is a port on the case where you can plug a USB cable though the case and charge the controller while in the case making the case useful now
