The Workplace Discount Programme allows employees at eligible companies to buy an annual subscription of Microsoft 365 Family or Microsoft 365 Personal at a discount for use on personal devices.

The Home Use Programme name was updated to the Microsoft Workplace Discount Programme in July 2022. Any previously purchased discounted products are not affected by the change in the programme name. You’ll continue to receive discounted rates on qualified subscriptions if you keep auto-renewal turned on.

To qualify for the Workplace Discount Programme, you must work at a company that qualifies for the Workplace Discount Programme and have a corporate email address.

Yes. If you already have Microsoft 365 Family or Microsoft 365 Personal, you can still take advantage of this discount and apply it to extend your current Microsoft 365 subscription. Once purchased through the Workplace Discount Programme, using your current Microsoft account that’s associated with your Microsoft 365 subscription, an additional year is added to your existing subscription, and the discounted rate will begin at your existing subscription’s annual renewal date.

Workplace Discount Programme discounts on Visio Professional 2024 and Project Professional 2024 are only available if your employer's Workplace Discount Programme administrator has selected you for one or more product-specific discounts.
If you received a product-specific invite from your employer’s Workplace Discount Programme administrator:
- A product-specific benefit email from Microsoft Store is sent to your corporate email address.
- Click the link in the email.
- Sign in to your personal Microsoft Account you want to use. Make sure this is the same account that is associated with the Workplace Discount Programme.

You’ll receive the same Workplace Discount Programme discount rate as your original purchase for as long as you maintain recurring billing on your subscription.

Once you have an active Microsoft 365 Family subscription, you can share it with up to five other people. Each person you share your subscription with can install Office on their PCs, Macs, iPads, Android tablets, Windows tablets, iPhones® or Android phones. Each person gets access to their own 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage, to store and share files and photos.

AI features included in Microsoft 365 Family plans are only available to the subscription owner and cannot be shared with others.

To use Copilot in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook, make sure you have the latest version of Microsoft 365 installed. If you're signed in, have the latest updates installed, and still don't see Copilot, please restart your Microsoft 365 apps. Learn more about why I am not seeing Copilot in my apps.

Microsoft 365 supports Arabic, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai and Turkish. Some Designer features, like inline editing capabilities, are available only in English. We plan to add more languages soon.
