关于

Hi! My name is Yansen Wang, a Senior Researcher at Microsoft Research Asia. My research interest lies at the intersection between brain science and artificial intelligence, including the two synergized parts:

  • AI for Brain: I’d explore using the technology of artificial intelligence to demystify our brain. The human brain is the most complicated object in the world, and we human knows very little about how it works. With the advancement of the artificial intelligence, we aim to get a better understanding of it and design next-generation brain-computer interface systems.
    • Related Research Area: Brain signal processing, Computational neuroscience, Brain-Computer Interface
  • Brain for AI: I’d like to inversely use our understanding of human (mammal) brains to advance the research of artificial intelligence. Many well-known AI algorithms and neural networks take the inspiration from our brain, and compare to the most advanced AI techniques, our brain is more energy-efficient, generalizable and embodied. We hope that by incorporating the inductive bias from our neural system, we can design the next-generation AI algorithms.
    • Related Research Area: Spiking neural network, Bio-inspired artificial intelligence
