Eric’s story

Eric — a first-year student at the School of the Future — wasted little time embracing technology as a learning tool. His interest in and comfort with technology stems from an early age when he was exposed to everything from wires to hard drives. “Technology has become a part of my daily life. It’s my identity,” he says. “I feel I can’t go anywhere without my laptop or Windows mobile smartphone.”

As chief administrative officer of the school’s Beta Tech Club, the 17-year-old has taken on the task of organizing the school’s end-of-year fashion show. Eric has only a few days to organize the lighting, the DJ, the sound system, the volunteer models and, of course, the clothes they’ll wear! He’s approaching his vision with the same confidence — and the same software tools — that have guided him successfully through his first year at the School of the Future.
