The small details...

...make you wish it could be longer. Who knows, maybe Bungie could float them some "silver dust" money for a full-size game, lotta wordplay out there. Weird Al could do Word Crimes for the theme, and all texting could be cured of the dumbs...... So yeah, great game, do it up.

Unique integration of Vocabulary

This looks to be an interesting journey that will challenge your understanding of words and their potentials. I also enjoyed the visual effects from the trailer, the willingness of the environment to morph and react to your wordplay expirements could be really exciting. Looks 👌

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY👎

POOR GAME MECHANICS AND ENDLESS LOOPS WHERE YOU REPEAT THE SAME CRAP OVER AND OVER.

Great game, great concept, disappointingly short.

The concept behind the game is excellent, and it's executed terrifically. My only major criticism is that I expected it to last more than a couple of hours. It comes with a couple of fun mini games, but these are nowhere near as good as the main game. I've given this 4/5 in the hope that positive reviews will encourage the developers to create a (hopefully significantly longer) Typoman 2, but make no mistake - the brevity of the game was a huge disappointment, particularly given how great the few existing chapters are. In summary: if you enjoy platformers and word puzzles, you should definitely get this game - but beware its brevity.

An enjoyably clever, albeit very short game

I had a good time with this game and its ingenious use of words to alter the environment and solve various puzzles. The core platforming reminded me a lot of Limbo/Inside as well as the atmosphere which is not a bad thing in the least. I also admired the small details that get added to your character's appearance when you spell certain words such as HAT or SAD (for a laugh, try TROLL). However, I was quite surprised over how fast I beat the game on my first playthrough which clocked in around 4 hours. If you're a word connoissuer, then you'll most likely breeze through it as well. There are two minigames you can unlock so the word-making fun doesn't have to stop after beating the story. The varied achievements also encourage multiple playthroughs. Despite the length, I'm glad I got to experience Typoman as I don't recall any game utilizing words the way this title does. If you're a gamer who is also an avid reader and speller, then by all means give Typoman Revised a shot.

Looks like Grammar Nazis have a new weapon!

Well, having bought it and not yet played it, I can judge only from the preview. Having bought it after ONLY seeing the pre-release notes and video, it obviously caught my eye, and now I am caught... hooked, that is, on the premise and the puns. I can't wait to actually get my words twisted and my syntax tested in this fresh new platform-puzzler. I will update my review once the actual view has been re-d, err, READ.
