With the advent of COVID-19, Amy Brand, Global Head People and Culture, CCI, needed a new performance management solution to meet the company’s rapidly evolving digital transformation and the needs of CCI’s clients.

Amy needed a performance management solution to match the company’s business direction and high standards. “We wanted a performance management process and practice that was much more aligned with the world we live in today. The previous solution felt like it was a compliance exercise rather than an enabler,” Brand said.

Even worse, the old system didn’t integrate with modern tools. “Performance management practices were not in the flow of work with the old system. No one ever looked at it, unless they were pushed to look at it. Other barriers to success were the lack of visual management and isolated goal functionality. As a multinational, the business required a solution that was truly collaborative and team-based to achieve the desired impact,” Brand said.

CCI enjoyed using Teams in day-to-day operations to connect employees and contractors around the world, whether professionally or to have fun with GIFS and emojis. “Having something that was integrated into Teams was one of the core reasons I chose Teamflect,” Brand said.

"We've been really focusing on making sure people are accountable, and, through Teamflect, there's really clear accountability from a visual management perspective – everyone knows who’s responsible for what and how we want to deliver as a team,” Brand said.

Teamflect helped Brand establish a culture of leadership, regardless of hierarchy, and empowerment within her organization. “Each team member can own the agenda for team meetings. They can drive how they want to focus the meeting. Team members can also request feedback to help them improve their performance, rather than relying on the manager to get feedback to them,” she said.
