Vaxxinova, originally known as Laboratório Biovet, was founded in 1957 by Dr. Rene Corrêa, a prestigious veterinarian at the Butantan Institute. The company started its operations in a house in Vila Mariana, São Paulo, producing medicines for poultry farming. In the 1990s, it expanded its production to include medicines and vaccines for livestock, and in the 2000s, it entered the pet segment. In 2018, the company was acquired by Vaxxinova, part of the German group EW, which specializes in nutrition, genetics and animal health – and remains focused on the production of vaccines and medicines for the veterinary sector.

As Vaxxinova grew, it became clear that its ERP system was insufficient for its needs. The decision to minimize customizations and adapt processes to the market ERP was crucial in ensuring a smooth transition.

Operational efficiency has also increased thanks to improved inventory management, invoicing, and reduced time spent on manual activities. Consolidating financial reports, which used to take days, in some cases is now accomplished with a 90% reduction in the time required, allowing for faster and more accurate analysis. Integration with tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps has facilitated automation and data visualization, providing greater reliability and agility in decision-making. These advancements have allowed Vaxxinova to not only improve its productivity but also ensure more accurate and reliable information for all departments in the company.

Expansion and innovation in partnership with Microsoft

Vaxxinova's future plans with Microsoft technology are ambitious and promising. The company intends to expand the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to all its operations in Latin America. In addition to Brazil, the implementation in Colombia has already been carried out in November 2024 and the next country will be Mexico, which is expected to be implemented in the second half of 2025. In addition, Vaxxinova is working together with the parent company to develop a core model that meets cost, sales and finance needs, with the aim of replicating this model in other companies in the group. Integration with tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps will continue to be explored to further optimize processes and decision-making. Vaxxinova is also focused on utilizing Business Central extensions to facilitate data comparison between different EW Group units, ensuring more accurate and efficient financial analysis.

The strategic partnership with Microsoft is seen as key to these future plans.
