ServiceNow deploys and scales AI solutions faster with Microsoft Marketplace

ServiceNow needed to scale its AI platform globally while maintaining trust, security, and performance. Fragmented systems and siloed data limited efficiency, driving the need for a unified, secure, and scalable cloud foundation.

ServiceNow chose Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Marketplace to securely scale its AI platform worldwide, simplify deployment, and co-innovate AI solutions that enhance productivity across the enterprise.

Running on Azure and transacting through Microsoft Marketplace helped ServiceNow expand globally, simplify procurement, and drive 67% year-over-year growth, while accelerating customer adoption of its AI-powered solutions.

At Knowledge 2024, ServiceNow, the AI control tower for business reinvention, announced an expanded strategic alliance with Microsoft—one signaling a new era of collaboration between two of the most trusted names in enterprise technology. Together, ServiceNow and Microsoft are breaking down silos, modernizing front-office operations, and unleashing a new wave of productivity through the power of AI on Microsoft Azure.

Breaking through enterprise silos

For years, businesses have struggled under the weight of fragmented systems and siloed data. According to ServiceNow, only 22% of business leaders say their teams share information effectively. This lack of cohesion stifles innovation and prevents organizations from realizing the full promise of AI.

“Businesses are hampered by years and years of accumulated debt from disparate applications and datasets that sit across the enterprise,” explained Yolanda Davis, Senior Director of Operations at ServiceNow. “Through our platform, we use data as fuel to streamline processes and drive productivity throughout the enterprise.”

ServiceNow’s mission is clear: simplify the enterprise. By bringing AI, data, and workflows together into a unified platform, the company helps customers achieve intelligent automation. Delivering this vision at a global scale required a cloud partner that shared its values of trust, security, and innovation.

ServiceNow chooses Microsoft Azure

To bring its AI-powered solutions to customers everywhere, ServiceNow turned to Microsoft Azure, a hyperscale, trusted cloud platform that aligns perfectly with its vision.

“Our solutions run on the Azure platform,” said Davis. “We also have co-innovation solutions with Microsoft, where our AI agents and Microsoft’s AI agents can collaborate, talk, and resolve tasks together for our customers.”

ServiceNow’s AI platform, powered by Azure, is redefining how enterprises work. AI isn’t an afterthought; it’s embedded into the fabric of ServiceNow’s architecture. Its single data model and unified data fabric make AI actionable, scalable, and reliable across the enterprise.

“We make AI actionable, scalable, and responsible,” said Davis. “With a single model architecture and unified data fabric, our platform drives real-time intelligence, streamlines productivity, and delivers unparalleled experiences for our customers.”

The new Now Assist and Microsoft Copilot integration, announced at Knowledge 2024 (double check date), exemplifies the partnership’s potential. The two AI assistants now work together across Microsoft 365 and ServiceNow to perform tasks, resolve issues, and automate workflows, meeting employees where they work and eliminating friction between systems.

This integration allows Copilot to hand off requests directly to Now Assist in Microsoft Teams, creating a seamless AI-driven experience for users. The result is faster resolution times, fewer manual steps, and an intelligent workflow that continuously learns and improves.

Microsoft Marketplace as a strategic growth engine

Azure’s global footprint and AI-first infrastructure enable ServiceNow to deploy and scale its offerings across regions while maintaining compliance and security standards. The partnership extends to Microsoft Marketplace, where ServiceNow makes its full suite of solutions easily discoverable, deployable, and purchasable by customers.

“Microsoft Marketplace is a secure, trusted platform where customers can discover, purchase, and deploy AI-driven solutions fast,” said Shirish Joshi, Senior Director of Operations - M&A and Alliances for ServiceNow. “We strongly feel that Microsoft Marketplace is a growth engine for us—and the results prove it. In just the first half of 2025, we’ve seen 67% year-over-year growth.”

ServiceNow’s decision to run on Microsoft Azure and transact through the Marketplace has transformed how it reaches customers. By simplifying procurement and enabling deployment directly into Azure tenants, customers can now realize value faster, while consolidating their Azure spend and commitments.

“Our customers really appreciate the ease of the Microsoft Marketplace,” said Davis. “It simplifies their procurement experience, consolidates billing, and makes it easy to deploy AI solutions into their Azure tenants. It also helps them realize the benefits of AI much faster.”

ServiceNow also worked closely with Microsoft to create resale enabled offers (REO). With REO, partners can now take ServiceNow offers, add their services, and extend them to customers. Marketplace and resale enabled offers are key enablers for geographic expansion, as they help ServiceNow close deals in challenging and new geographies such as Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the UAE.

Co-innovation and continuous growth

Looking ahead, the partnership between ServiceNow and Microsoft shows no signs of slowing down. The companies are already co-developing solutions that unify ServiceNow’s AI Control Tower with Microsoft Fabric, establishing a shared governance model for AI agents and data.

“Marketplace has been instrumental for our growth,” Davis added. “We’re continuing to invest in our Microsoft partnership to drive more co-innovation, expand into new markets, and deliver even more industry-specific solutions.”

As ServiceNow continues to put AI to work for people, its deep integration with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Marketplace ensures that customers can access, deploy, and scale the future of intelligent work today.
