Workspaces in Microsoft Edge provide an incredible way for you to separate your browsing tasks into dedicated windows so you can stay focused and organized across your tasks. Each workspace has its own set of tabs and favorites, all created and curated by you and your collaborators. Edge Workspaces are automatically saved and kept up to date. To get started with Workspaces, select the Workspaces menu icon on the top-left corner of your browser window.

Yes, your default browser window will remain open after you create or join a workspace, and you can return to your default browser window at any time.
Edge Workspaces will not share confidential account data like logins, cookies, and passwords with anyone else who has access to the workspace. This feature is not browser screensharing nor does it share personal data amongst people who are sharing a workspace—each user will only see content which they have access to.
No, your workspaces will be saved, and you can access them anytime you are signed into Microsoft Edge with your Microsoft account or your Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory).
