After witnessing the brutal murders of a convenience store owner and his son, firefighter Jeremy Coleman (Josh Duhamel) nearly escapes with his life. Encouraged by the detective assigned to his case (Bruce Willis) to testify against the Aryan crime lord Hagan (Vincent D'Onofrio) behind the hit, Coleman is placed in the Witness Protection Program under the watch of U.S. Marshal Talia Durham (Rosario Dawson). When Hagan is released from prison and Coleman's new identity becomes compromised, he's forced to fight fire with fire in order to get his life back and save the lives of those he loves.
