Things are looking up for the Trotters when Rodders goes to night school and comes out with a lot more than just a diploma in computer science, while Del dons a pair of dashing red braces and remodels himself as a City yuppie. But it's business as usual when he spies an opportunity to trade in cut-priced gold chains, and when a dodgy mobile phone deal puts the Trotters on the wrong side of the ruthless Driscoll brothers, it threatens to ruin Rodney's special day.
