We believe in the power of technology, community, and mentorship to drive innovation and impact. Over the past 5 years, we've been busy fostering talent, building meaningful partnerships, and empowering the next generation of tech leaders. Here’s a breakdown of our key achievements, with some exciting stats to celebrate!

Faculty Skilling and Immersion Program

The program equips educators with advanced teaching and research skills, strengthening their grasp of management, technology, and pedagogy while ensuring academic training stays industry-relevant. At ADC, we are committed to continuous faculty skilling to better prepare students for the tech ecosystem.

Curriculum Reviews

The curriculum review process creates actionable plans to strengthen university programs, ensuring students gain the technical expertise needed for modern software development and engineering.

13 University Curriculum Reviews: Shaping the future of tech education by collaborating with institutions to refine and enhance computer science and engineering curricula. Programs reviewed include Bachelors, Masters, and PhD in computer science, computer technology, data science, and information technology, with partners such as JKUAT, USIU-Africa, Strathmore, Meru University, Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, and others.

ADC Campus Tours

A continuous activity across universities, designed to build long-term collaboration and student exposure. Each full-day visit begins with faculty sessions in the morning to review courses, units, and explore partnership opportunities. In the afternoon, students are introduced to Microsoft developer tools, guided through programs they can join, and engaged in a Life in ADC panel, followed by recruiter-led sessions on roles and career marketability.

18 University Campus Tours: Ongoing across Kenya and Uganda to strengthen faculty collaboration and equip students with industry insights and skills.

Guest Lectures

ADC Guest Lectures are a continuous initiative designed to complement university curricula by giving students exposure to diverse perspectives, industry practices, and technical expertise beyond their regular classes. Covering areas such as AI/ML, cybersecurity, data science, research, and software engineering, these sessions blend academic knowledge with real-world application.

16+ Guest Lectures Across 10 Universities: Industry experts from ADC delivered technical sessions on software engineering, cybersecurity, AI, and research, bridging the gap between academia and industry.

Microsoft ADC High School Bootcamps – Robotics, Programming & AI

Since 2023, the Microsoft ADC High School Bootcamps have empowered over 120 students across Kenya—70% from public schools and 30% from private institutions—to dive into the world of robotics, programming, and AI.

Through hands-on projects, teamwork, and mentorship, students gain practical experience and problem-solving skills while exploring the future of technology. These bootcamps are designed to inspire innovation, build confidence, and equip the next generation of tech leaders with the tools they need to thrive. This year, we partnered with MPESA Africa to showcase innovation in financial technology, giving students firsthand exposure to how tech is transforming the financial services space.
