When Clement Marini steps away from his role as Principal Software Engineering Manager under M365, you won’t find him in front of a screen. You’ll find him in a rally car with his visor down and the engine roaring.
For Clement, rally racing is more than a hobby. It is a test of precision, strategy and trust. He says those qualities aren’t so different from leading a software engineering team. “On the track, every decision counts. In tech, it’s the same. You read the terrain, adapt quickly and work seamlessly with your co-driver, or in my case, my team,” he says.
His weekends often start early, with dusty roads and the thrill of competing against both the clock and himself. It’s a passion that fuels his resilience at work. Whether it’s a line of code or a sharp turn at high speed, Clement knows success comes from focus, teamwork and the courage to push limits.
Rallying also gives him a unique outlet for creativity. Just as in software, there isn’t only one right way to navigate a course. It’s about finding the smartest route with the tools you have. That same innovative mindset shapes his approach to problem-solving at ADC, where he encourages his team to explore unconventional solutions.
And while racing might seem worlds apart from tech, Clement believes both are powered by the same thing: people. “Whether it’s a pit crew or a dev team, your success depends on how well you communicate, trust each other and move forward together.”
