The Emerging Partner Programme is an Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) B-BBBEE initiative by Microsoft South Africa. The program supports the development of 100% Black-Owned Small Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMME) in the ICT industry that are aspiring Microsoft Solutions Partners.

Emerging Partner Programme Graduation Criteria

SMMEs graduate from the programme when they meet the following criteria:

  • SMME has completed 24 months on the programme.
  • SMME has attained two Solutions Area Designations during the 24 months.
  • SMME becomes End Customer Investment Funding (ECIF) eligible/enabled during the 24 months.

Emerging Partner Programme FAQ

  • The Emerging Partner Programme is open to any SMME that meets the following criteria:

    • 100% Black-Owned business
    • ICT Business, offering Microsoft Solutions
    • SMME (turnover of less than R50 million)
    • Has a minimum of four technical staff
    • Has been in operation for at least two years
    • Registered as a Microsoft Partner
    • Business is not ECIF enabled
  • Businesses who meet the eligibility criteria can register now.

  • The programme supports SMMEs over 24 months to attain one-two Microsoft Solutions Area Designations through:

    • Technical Skilling to attain Microsoft Certifications
    • Adoption and Change Management Training
    • Business Development Programmes
    • Access to potential funding for Microsoft Solutions deployments
    • Market Exposure internally and externally
  • There is no cost to join the programme.
