Dream Space Ambassador Programme 2026-2027
The Dream Space Ambassador Programme is a free, flagship student leadership and STEM training initiative delivered by the Dream Space teams in Dublin and Belfast. It is a full academic year programme designed to empower student leaders in STEM.
The programme runs from September to May, beginning with a Teacher Information Session in September, followed by student virtual training sessions starting in October and concluding with a Graduation and Celebration event in May.
The programme is open to schools and education settings across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, including:
- Primary schools - 5th Class (Primary 6/7 in NI) and/or Digital Leaders
- Post-primary schools - TY (Transition Year in RoI, 4th/5th Year in NI) and/or Digital Leaders
- Youthreach centres
Each school setting may nominate up to 10 students to become Dream Space Ambassadors.
Throughout the year, Ambassadors participate in a series of live virtual training sessions. Schools can choose the sessions that best suit their context. Full details of the training schedule and session themes will be shared during the Teacher Information Session in September. During each session, students receive STEM training along with ready-to-use resources to bring back and implement within their setting.
The programme follows a train-the-trainer model. The Dream Space team equips student Ambassadors with the knowledge, resources and confidence to return to their school community and lead, support and mentor others in STEM education.
The programme aims to:
- Ignite students’ passion for STEM
- Develop leadership and communication skills
- Build confidence and collaboration
- Strengthen digital and technological literacy
At the end of the academic year, schools can celebrate the achievements of their Ambassadors. Students receive certification at Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum level based on their engagement and impact within their school community.
