This application promotes the development of capacities pivotal to the process of learning to read and spell, namely, phonological awareness and lexical orthographic memory. Download Madam Word! The 7 games offered in this application achieve the following objectives. The Neighbours : develop the ability to identify phonemes and graphemes in words. Whose card is this? : locate one or two phonemes in a one-word syllable. Rhyme Time! : judge if the words rhyme or not. Mr. Mixup: develop the capacity for syllabic segmentation and improve phonological working memory. Word Dive: develop phonemic segmentation and phonemes and graphemes matching abilities. Madam Word's Library: work on the confusion between the letters "b" and "d". Word Pond: develop the ability to visually process similar graphemes and similar auditory phonemes. Product notes are available for this application, and are suggested for anyone interested in understand how Madam Word was created, or to make a better use of the app. The free version allows you to try all the games offered in this application.
