Our Mission
The Africa Development Center (ADC) represents Microsoft's first-ever developent centers in Africa. With locations in both Nairobi, Kenya and Lagos, Nigeria, the ADC is a premier center of Engineering for Microsoft.

What We Do
Our engineers are fueling Artifical Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning innovation across numerous domains in healthcare, agriculture, finance and human-centric automation that affect our lives. The Africa Development Center will help empower all our partners in the different countries across the continent to build innovative solutions on the Microsoft platform.
Engineering
As an engineer at Microsoft ADC, you can develop solutions used by hundreds of millions of people around the world. With teams working on Microsoft 365, Identity and Network Access, Employee Experience, Windows and Devices, Cloud and Ecosystem Management, Cloud Security, there is no limit to what you can achieve here.

Innovation
The Garage is a freeform work space where Microsoft employees, interns, schools and community groups can find the tools and training they need to launch products and learn skills. The new space is meant to be a community where Microsoft employees can simply make things happen with no pressure to deliver results; as a “maker space” it includes 3D printers, a laser cutter, design tools, a workbench and other equipment to support creative projects.
The Garage is not just about using the space, but also about engaging with our employees and our engineers - where local organizations who want to host hackathons at The Garage, can do so in conjunction with Microsoft employees.
Build Talent in Africa & Community Engagement
Building a strong ecosystem is pivotal to the success and growth of the Africa Development Center. We have programs targeted to students and schools as well as the professional community in our region to help build strong networks and partnerships that are crucial to our growth.
Our outreach programs are geared towards attracting high level tech talent to the ADC and in the industry. Our ecosystem engagements are currently divided into: Education Engagements, Game of Learners, and Community Engagements.
