Junheng is an applied scientist in Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG), where he works on LLM training and customization and Windows agents.

He earned a Ph.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), advised by Yizhou Sun and Wei Wang at Scalable Analytics Institute (ScAi) and UCLA Data Mining Lab in the Department of Computer Science.  Junheng graduated in 2017 with a B.E. from the Department of Automation, School of Information Science and Technology, Tsinghua University in Haidian, Beijing, China.
