Kurt Jenkins is a manufacturing research engineer adapting Applied Sciences inventions to commercial products.  He works on production-level prototyping and manufacturing development of new hardware devices and optical input systems for multi-touch.  He also supports new product innovation, material research, and finishes for Hardware devices.

Before joining Microsoft, Kurt worked for Xerox and Tektronix supporting manufacturing and technology development of commercial printing and imaging systems.  He holds a degree in manufacturing and plastic engineering from Western Washington University.

In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
