Matheen Siddiqui is a esearcher in Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG).  His research interests include computer vision, machine learning, pattern recognition, image processing, motion capture, computer graphics, and scientific computing.

Before uoining ASG he received his B.S. in computer systems engineering and an M.S. in signal processing from Boston University in 2000 and 2002 respectively.  Following this he worked as a senior software engineer at Cognex solving computer vision, calibration, and image-alignment-related problems.  He received his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Southern California, Los Angles, in August, 2009.

In his free time, Matheen enjoys hiking and long-distance running.
