Neil Zhang is a research intern in the Applied Sciences Group (ASG) at Microsoft. 

He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester, working with Prof. Zhiyao Duan at the Audio Information Research Lab (AIR).  His research interests are in computer audition, seeking machine learning applications in speech and audio.  Neil’s recent work has focused on audio/visual rendering and analysis, personalized spatial audio, and synthetic speech (audio deepfake) detection.

In his spare time, Neil loves movies, paddle boarding, swimming, and travelling.
