Rajath Ravi

Rajath Ravi is a senior applied scientist working in Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG) where he is involved in advancing A.I. and large language models (LLM’s), with responsibilities ranging from training and fine-tuning for diverse use-cases.

Rajath’s journey in the field of machine-learning and deep-learning spans over 10 years, where he’s been engaged with multiple facets such as search, recommendations, natural language processing (NLP), and graph learning.  His most recent tenure was at Meta, where he worked for two years in enhancing recommendations for the Instagram platform.  His focus involved leveraging pre-training and fine-tuning techniques on large-scale graph neural networks (GNNs).  Before joining ASG, Rajath spent four years contributing to the A.I. efforts for the Office 365 project at Microsoft India. 

Rajath graduated with a master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, where his research was focused on leveraging machine-learning techniques for predicting queue waiting times for jobs in large-scale supercomputers.

In his free time, Rajath enjoys travelling and watching sports like cricket and tennis.
