Sudhanshu Sohoni

Sudhanshu Sohoni is a principal research software development engineer in the Applied Sciences Group (ASG) at Microsoft.

Before joining ASG, he was on various teams including Patent Engineering (CELA), Windows Camera (Sigma), and Azure Compute.

Sudhanshu grew up in Pune, India and started working in the computer-vision domain right out of university for about 10 years before joining Microsoft.  Most of his career has been around multimedia, computer vision, image processing, and video codecs.

Apart from work, Sudhanshu plays the guitar and enjoys biking (he completed the Seattle-to-Portland event in 2023!), woodworking, and tinkering with home-audio projects like building speakers and amplifiers.
