Tomas Morris

Tomas Morris works in the Applied Sciences Group at Microsoft on next-generation experiences that evolve the computer into a more natural and capable companion.

Tomas holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from the Colorado School of Mines.  His career at Microsoft has spanned a broad range of product areas with a through line of making technology more intuitive — from the Bing homepage and email platform to Cortana in Windows, Windows Search, and the Windows 11 UX refresh.  He has explored natural interaction paradigms including voice, pen, and radial interface concepts, and more recently worked on AI-powered experiences including Windows Recall, semantic search, and Copilot integrations.

Tomas lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife, three children, and two Saint Bernards.  He loves playing board games, 3D printing, figure drawing, and playing Dungeons & Dragons with his family.
