Vladimir Levkov is a mechanical engineer working in Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG) Belgrade creating mechanical prototypes of new Surface device features, providing the hardware neccessary to enable explorations by his software-engineering co-workers.

Before Microsoft, he worked as a mechanical engineer in the aerospace and defense industries.  Wthin Microsoft, before ASG, Vladimir worked as part of the Mixed Reality team on enabling face-tracking features on a new generation of MR devices, and on developing a portable camera exposure with synchronized lighting systems for holoportation and volumetric captures.

Vladimir has a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering and an M.Sc. in aerospace engineering from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Belgrade.

In his free time, Vladimir is a passionate skydiver and paraglider pilot.  He also rides a motorcycle and enjoys tinkering with, and fixing mechanical, and electronic devices.
