HPC Pack 2019 also delivers cloud ready solutions for Hybrid and Cloud on Microsoft Azure.

  • Prior to installation, please review the 'What's New' and 'Release Notes' available on the Microsoft HPC Pack Documentations.

    o Slipstream installation:

    Download the 'HPCPack2019Update3-Full-v8352.zip' file, extract the contents to the root of your drive and run 'setup.exe' to start the HPC Pack 2019 Update 3 installation wizard on a supported Windows Server based computer.

    o Fix installation:

    This QFE fixes some known issues of HPC Pack 2019 update 3 as described below.
    - Fix the security vulnerability for remote code execution in HPC Scheduler service on the head nodes.
    - Update the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) image SKUs naming for Azure IaaS VM compute nodes.

    This QFE needs to be run on all head nodes. Before installation, please make sure the current version number (Start HPC Cluster Manager, click Help->About) is 6.3.8328.0.

    Download and run ‘KB5065994_x64.exe’ on all head nodes. HPC services will be automatically restarted with the patch. After patching, the server version is 6.3.8352.0 while the client version is still 6.3.8328.0. Note this patch cannot be uninstalled.
