    Report Builder provides a productive report-authoring environment for IT professionals and power users. The download provides a stand-alone installer for Report Builder.

    Report Builder provides data visualizations that include charts, maps, sparklines, and data bars that can help produce new insights well beyond what can be achieved with standard tables and charts. Use Report Builder to create reports and shared datasets. Publish report parts, and then browse the Report Part Gallery to reuse existing report parts as building blocks for creating new reports quickly with a “grab and go” experience.

    • Microsoft SQL Server Report Builder for Microsoft SQL Server 2014. You can use the Report Builder standalone version or the ClickOnce version of Report Builder installed with Reporting Services.
    • Access to an instance of the Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Database Engine.
  • Microsoft SQL Server Report Builder for Microsoft SQL Server 2014 should be installed on the client machine for report authoring.

    Microsoft SQL Server Report Builder for Microsoft SQL Server 2014 has two different methods to complete the installation process:
    • Attended Installation – an interactive user interface will guide you through the set-up process and obtain all of the information and consent required to complete the installation. This includes the displaying, acknowledgement, and archiving of the applicable SQL Server license terms.

    • Un-attend Installation – this is a Windows command Line set-up process that does not have an interactive user interface to guide you through the set-up process. In this case, you will be required to enter a parameter during installation that indicates your acceptance of the license terms.
