    PXE boot in System Center 2012 Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr 2012) enables administrators to easily access the Windows Preinstallation Environment (WinPE) across the network via the Preboot Execution Environment (PXE). PXE is an industry standard created by Intel that provides pre boot services within the devices firmware which enables devices to download network boot programs to client computers. PXE boot issues are one of the biggest call generators for the Configuration Manager Global Business Support (GBS) team which is in part due to the reliance on and interdependencies with networking protocols such as DHCP and TFTP.
