Blocks in X++ report when printed to PDF and using a Double byte based language

Hi all,

We recently had a support case come in that showed a Dynamics AX 2009 X++ based report that printed to screen correctly, but when printed to PDF, the customer information was displayed in square blocks.  It turns out that the customer information was entered in using a double byte language/font.  After contacting one of our support engineers in Japan, we found out that we needed to use the Arial Unicode MS to output double byte characters to PDF.

This font can be installed (Arial Unicode MS) via a Microsoft Office installation.  The details can be found at the following links.

Once this was done, the report printed out correctly.
