Each day, Meals on Wheels of Greenville County serves more than 1,500 nutritious meals to homebound seniors. The organization must run efficiently to coordinate its 140 volunteers, reach out to donors, and help its clients. Until recently, though, it relied
on donated technology tools, which presented barriers to internal and external communication and hindered collaboration. In May 2012, the organization worked with PTG to adopt Microsoft Office 365, which offers web-based email and shared calendars through
Microsoft Exchange Online and a document repository and collaboration workspaces through Microsoft SharePoint Online. As a result, Meals on Wheels of Greenville County can spend more time in the community and less time sifting through paperwork, which helps
the organization boost efficiency and conserve resources as it prepares to serve its 10 millionth meal.
