  • Networking Servers. DHCP, DNS, WINS, or Radius servers. DHCP servers dynamically assign TCP/IP addresses and communication options, such as default gateways, subnet masks and routing tables. Naming servers, such as DNS and WINS, map TCP/IP addresses to friendly intranet- or Internet-published names. RADIUS authenticates and monitors machine credentials to control the client network access privileges.

Operations Manager 2007 Licensing

Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 requires a Server License for each management server and a Management License (ML) for each managed Operating System Environment (OSE). The ML is offered in Enterprise and Standard Editions for management of server OSE, and in a Client Edition for management of clients and other OSEs not running server operating systems. An Enterprise Server ML is required for full application and server management, and a Standard Server ML can be used for operating system and basic workload management.
