Andrew (Chih-Yu) is a research intern at Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG) and a second-year Ph.D. student at MIT.  His research focuses on sequential modelling and deep learning, spanning topics such as time series analysis, speech-driven facial animation, and cross-disciplinary fields like semiconductor manufacturing and bioelectronics.

Andrew holds a B.S. and M.S. from National Taiwan University and previously worked at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd., for two years.

Besides his academic pursuits, Andrew enjoys travelling, playing sports, playing the piano, and video games.  Visit Andrew's website to learn more.
