Lawrence Jang is a 2024 research intern in Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG).

He is a fifth-year master's student in the Machine Learning Department at CMU advised by Ruslan Salakhutdinov.  He is primarily interested in applying human-like reasoning to LLM agents.

Before joining ASG, Lawrence completed a research internship at the Chicago Cubs and the MLB Commissioner’s Office.

Outside of work, Lawrence enjoys basketball and cooking.
