MPOS Adding a New Product to a Category Listing

In MPOS if you want to use categories, catalogs must be setup and validated.

See the following steps to create a new product and see the product as part of a category in MPOS:

1. USRT for the Houston store has a catalog called Men’s suits – My MPOS device is for the Houston store

2. Fashion category hierarchy – Dress Shirts

3. Create a new item in AX called “8888” this item is added to the Hierarchy Fashion > Menswear > Dress Shirts

4. Click OK and Edit the new item and add a selling price of 15.99

5. Find the assortment that the Houston store is using
6. Retail > Common > Retail channels > Retail stores
7. Select Houston
8. Select View assortments
9. Select Fab-base and click Edit
10. Add the Fashion category to the assortment
11. Click Publish

12. Go to Retail > Periodic > Process Assortments
13. Run the Retail assortments job
14. When finished, go to the Houston store and select View channel products
15. You should see item 8888

16. Go to the Men’s suits catalog and edit
17. Select Menswear > Dress Shirts
18. Click Add under Products
19. Select Assortment Fab base
20. Add item 8888

21. Click Validate catalog

22. Process the Retail catalog approval workflow

23. Ctrl+D to Developer workspace
24. Expand Forms
25. Type U
26. Select Tutorial_WorkflowProcessor
27. Right click and open

28. Click Start

29. When done publish the Catalog

30. Run the Products and Catalog job

31. When done Close MPOS if open and re-open.

32. The item will now show in the category
