Yes, the Microsoft Launcher app lets you customize your device home screen and perform other tasks on Android devices. Microsoft Launcher is specific to Android devices.


You can join the testing program for an unreleased version of the Microsoft Launcher app. As a tester, you'll receive an update that includes a testing version of the Microsoft Launcher app, which may also include unreleased versions of its instant app. Note that testing versions may be unstable.

As part of this program, you'll always get the latest unreleased version of Microsoft Launcher when it’s available, as long as Microsoft Launcher is running on your device.

Requires Android 4.0.3+. Some specific Family features require Android 5.0+.


A Microsoft account is what you use to access many Microsoft devices and services. It's the account that you use to sign in to Skype, Outlook.com, OneDrive, Windows Phone, and Xbox LIVE – and it means your files, photos, contacts and settings can follow you securely to any device.


1Users must download Microsoft Launcher from Google Play. Downloading Microsoft Launcher replaces the default launcher. Microsoft Launcher does not replicate the user’s PC home screen on the Android phone. Users must still purchase and/or download any new apps from Google Play. Requires Android 4.0.3+. Some specific Family features require Android 5.0+.
2Users must download Microsoft Office apps, for Android and follow the set up prompts. Microsoft Office is sold separately.
3Users must link their mobile phone to their PC in PC settings and sign in with their MSA. Users will receive an app from Microsoft which they must download to their mobile phone and follow the setup prompts.
4Users must download the Cortana app for Android and follow the setup prompts. Cortana requires iPhone 4 with iOS 8.0 or higher. Cortana available in select markets; experience may vary by region and device.
5Requires a Microsoft family account and Android devices linked on the same wireless account. Microsoft Launcher must be installed on both a parent’s device and a child’s device to ensure access to a child’s locations and app activities. Location setting must be turned on the child’s device. Apps must not have privacy mode enabled.
