Product naming improvements

As part of the pursuit of simplicity and clarity in our commerce processes and systems, Microsoft is improving the descriptions of our part numbers for volume licensing to make it clearer what products and services are being purchased. Product license numbers will stay the same. But as of September 2021, you’ll begin to see clearer descriptions on pricelists and in the Volume Licensing Service Center.
For example, a part number description might go from this:
- PowerAppsPortalLoginCapT2 ShrdSvr ALNG SubsVL MVL Addon Min10Units100logins
To, for example, this:
- Power Apps Portal Login Cap T2 Sub Add-on Min 10 Units 100 Logins
There is no action for customers. Customers can work with their partners if there are any questions about this change.
