Your sleep data says one thing. Your blood work says another. It’s not that your health information is missing—it’s that nothing has brought it together in a way that makes sense. We’re building Copilot Health to change that.
Back in March, we announced Copilot Health. Since then, thousands of people have been helping us build and test capabilities—linking their health records, understanding lab results, and heading into appointments with greater clarity and confidence.
Now, after thorough safety testing and evaluation, Copilot Health moves into preview. Starting today, Copilot users in the US aged 18+ with a Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, or Premium subscription can try Copilot Health in preview at Copilot.microsoft.com/health.
This preview marks the next step in our deliberate, phased rollout, expanding access, and adding new features over time. We’re eager to hear your feedback and ideas as we prepare to bring even more features to Copilot Health in the months ahead.
A personalized view of your health
Across Microsoft’s consumer products, we already respond to well over 50 million health questions a day—yet too many people still lack access to trusted health guidance when it matters most. That’s why we built Copilot Health: a secure space within Copilot where you can bring your health questions, wearable data, and health records together for proactive insights and guidance that are personal and secure.
Here’s what you will find:
- Your health profile. Add the details that matter—your health background and your goals—so Copilot can give you responses and insights that reflect who you are.
- Connect your wearables and health records. Connect wearable devices and wellness apps—starting with Apple Health, with more on the way soon—to talk through what you are tracking and how it relates to your health. You can combine these insights with your comprehensive health records from over 50,000 US provider organizations to give you a full view of your overall health and wellness.
- Intelligent health insights. Copilot Health delivers personalized insights based on your health profile and conversations, using medical intelligence to ask follow-up questions and provide clear, relevant guidance on what is going on and what to do next.
- Guidance you can trust. Not all health information is created equal. Copilot Health gives you answers informed by thousands of trusted health organizations globally, sourced using principles that have been independently published by the National Academy of Medicine and through our partnership with Harvard Health.
- Care navigation. If you need care, Copilot Health can help you find the right healthcare provider for you. Search for local healthcare providers by specialty, language, gender, insurance, and location.
Safe and secure by design
Sharing your health information is an act of trust. We built Copilot Health to be worthy of it. We’ve designed Copilot Health with safety, security, and expertise at its core—working with trusted health organizations and a global panel of clinicians, and building safeguards directly into the product:
- Secure, dedicated space. Copilot Health conversations are not shared with the rest of Copilot and are not used to train AI. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and you can manage, delete, or disconnect your health data sources at any time.
- Built with clinicians. Developed with our internal clinical team and informed by an external panel of over 250 physicians from more than 24 countries, who contribute clinical guidance, safety feedback, and real-world perspective.
- Safety guardrails built in. We have implemented robust guardrails to protect against health misinformation while promoting emotional wellbeing—co-developed by our responsible AI, clinical, safety, engineering, and health product teams.
- Principled approach. Copilot Health is guided by Microsoft’s responsible AI principles—fairness, inclusiveness, transparency, and human accountability.
- International AI management standards. Copilot Health has achieved ISO/IEC 42001 certification, meaning an independent third party has verified how we build, govern, and continuously improve the AI behind this service.
We want Copilot Health to be useful for everyone. That’s why we’ve asked multiple organizations representing patients, caregivers, and older adults to help us shape Copilot Health. Member organizations of the National Health Council reported that Copilot Health pointed to “meaningful progress toward more trusted, patient-centered digital health experiences”. The Council said: “By engaging patients, caregivers, and advocates into the process from the start, the program is shaping a solution grounded in real-world needs and helping build lasting confidence in AI-enabled care.”
