Ben finally musters up the courage to ask Liza (Ashley Johnson - Blindspot,) his dream girl and best friend of 20 years out on a date. Their first date goes smoothly until she breaks the news to him that she can never take him seriously as a partner because he’s morbidly obese like her deceased father. Motivated to win her over, Ben enlists the help of his crazy friends, roommates, and even his father, Gordon (Randy Quaid - Independence Day) to help him slim down and start his new life.
