Adopted the day he was born into a St. Louis home, Gabe was diagnosed with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy and told he would not live past 25. By the age of 10, he was wheelchair bound. By his mid teens, he required a full-time caretaker. Despite his grim diagnosis, Gabe accomplished his single biggest goal in life: getting a college degree.
