Big difference here when you jump on the controls of this racing sim compared to most. This game takes time to master, you cannot approach this game like its need 4 speed. If you really enjoy actual track racing this is a great representation of that type of racing. You have to use specific setups for each track, know when to brake so your not flying off track. If you are a trigger smashing type of driver, you will be in for a short and frustrating experience. This is important!!! if u dont have a steering wheel for this game certain cars with certain track conditions will b a challenge to handle, so to offset that b sure to check online for different force feedback settings for your controller. TRUST that it makes the difference between really enjoying this game or giving up and going back to Forza. Once i figured out the correct settings for the controller I was angry for not having played sooner. The active weather cycle is a nice touch.

When I first got Project Cars I thought it was one of those games that would become a loved classic, but after playing for around an hour I have to admit i was sadly mistaken. Project Cars has beautiful graphics and a very interesting selection of cars, not to mention a very unique realism aspect that has to do with the way you adjust the setting in your car to deal with all the different scenarios that you will encounter during your time in the game. Though Project Cars has quite a few strong points and quality graphics, one thing I feel it lacks is control. Its almost impossible to keep any of the cars on the track when you have to turn, even after tweeking the brake settings it was still impossible to go around even the easiest corners without slamming into the barriers. One more disappointing aspect of driving was that even though the cars were going in excess of 200 MPH, according to the gauges, the cars looked as though they travel very slow. If fixed, I might retry this game.

Review title of MajorGrumpersNot Forza. and that is good.
Controller default setup is not the best, but take the time to tweak it and the game becomes much more enjoyable. This is a game about racing. Not about upgrades and building a fantasy car. This game does not drive like Forza. To me, Forza is a simcad racer, and a very good one. But when I want race. Ialways seem to grab Procect Cars. You all have the same class of car to start and you work on your setup just like in Forza. The difference is that it is not about winning every race, but racing for every position. It is meant more to resemble real racing than simcade racers. My personal opinion is own this and Forza. Just accept that they fill different spots in your racing game library. I love the way I feel the cars handle when they are on on the edge of losing traction. I race using a controller and not a wheel. edited to add to content of review.

Review title of iSTEALcarePKGsits been fixed people try it again!!
its great now. and one guy says 'lack luster graphics' the graphics are top notch and the people complaining about the controls obviously havent played it recently. you have to taylor it to your style. and comparing forza and prjct crs is apples and oranges.if you dont understand the dynamics of a racecar setup then of course your not going to like it.forza would be for you because its tuning is dumbed down. forza is front and rear tuning, while pcars is 4 corner tuning.....project cars is great!! its not the type of game you can get on and just be competitive.you have to work at,which is how a sim should be.and it had its issues in the beginning but now its fixed even with a controller in some of the classes and tracks im in the top 50 in the world and i don't have a wheel.when project cars 2 comes out its going to blow everything away, watch and see👌👏

Review title of WHlTE STAG CVLTVery underrated racing sim.
Don't let the low reviews fool you. This game offers a racing experience Forza will never be able to achieve. Most of the reviews for this game complain about constant lack of traction, but if you have any understand of how to drive you should know that you have to control the throttle and not try to floor it around ever corner. This game does take time getting used to and it can be difficult at times, but the experience is unlike any other racing sim on Xbox. My only disappointment is lack of vehicles, but I do appreciate the variety. Don't listen to the other reviews put down this game because of their lack of understanding and skill. If you are a true racing fan this game is worth playing.

Review title of Chieferz AoKPSA: If you're using a controller with Project Cars
Originally when PC was released it was unplayable with a controller. Since release the Devs worked hard to patch it. But you have still got to set up some settings.... in controller settings menu: | Mode 3 | Feedback = 80 | Steering Deadzone = 10 (or lower) | Steering Sensitivity = 0 | LEAVE OTHERS AS THEY ARE

Review title of dead creaper79I can't even stay on the track
I heard good things about the game. I played the first race with a positive mind, failed miserably, spinning out every 20 seconds, tweaked game settings (including turning on traction and stability control) and spun some more. I thought I was doing something wrong but I'm not the only one spinning out every few seconds with the easiest difficulty. (I'm glad it was free with gold and I didn't have to waste my money on this)

Review title of Trey Gotti IIIXUnique Simulator
The game offers a different racing feel. It's not like midnight club, nfs, the crew, etc etc. The tune settings on here are unlike most racing games. I admit had trouble steering at first but after some runs and even trying the assisted steering and braking options, driving became easier. If you're hoping project cars ran like a street or open world racing game you're not going to get that kind of experience. This game is more like grand turismo, but with it's own feel to it. Go to the options and turn on assisted steering and braking to get a better feel with control on turns. Tune the cars to help prevent oversteer and understeer.

I'm finally looking forward to getting into this game after giving up on it due to its atrocious handling out of the box when it was released but they have improved the default settings quite a bit and the force feedback actually feels decent now with a wheel, hopefully this means they are on the right track for pc2 and they can improve the handling feel and physics further. the save times however are still the worst I've seen, be prepared when entering certain menus to wait several minutes to get out even if you didn't change anything.
