Announcing Preview of Microsoft Dataverse file columns in Power Pages
We are pleased to announce the public preview availability of file data type for use in Power Pages. The capability is released with the website version 9.4.7.x.
With this feature support now, makers can build web pages to provide upload / download files stored in the Microsoft Dataverse tables. Makers are now enabled to accomplish this configuration easily on web pages without having to code. With the file column support in Power Pages, makers can
- Configure file data type fields on Power Pages basic and advanced forms for users to upload a new file or download an existing file stored in Dataverse tables.
- Use Web APIs to build rich custom user experiences that perform CRUD operations on file columns.
- Write Liquid scripts that allow retrieval of file fields with name, size, and URL data of the attachment.
Note: File column support is also available for Power Apps portals
