Simplify Azure

Learn how to simplify Azure with the Microsoft Customer Agreement

Simplify Azure with the Microsoft Customer Agreement

January 27, 2021

Lately, we’ve been talking a lot about creating a consistent and simplified purchase experience, with greater flexibility in how and where you can buy. With the new commerce experience, not only will we deliver faster time to value with solutions from Microsoft and partners, but we will also provide you with tools and terms to help you choose the most cost-effective solutions and optimize your cloud spend.

With the Microsoft Customer Agreement, we created a new buying experience built for cloud services. It’s a simplified purchase agreement that’s presented, accepted, and stored through a completely digital experience.

The Microsoft Customer Agreement streamlines your Azure purchasing experience and reduces your administrative tasks. Once you accept, you can take advantage of new invoice and cost management capabilities to help you understand and optimize your Azure costs, all in the same portal where you manage your Azure services.

How does it work? When you accept the Microsoft Customer Agreement, a billing account is created for you. You’ll use your billing account to track costs of your Azure services, plus manage invoices and payments. Learn more about how to get started with your new billing account.

If you have an Enterprise Agreement with us today, talk to your Microsoft account team about transitioning your Azure services to the Microsoft Customer Agreement. Once you accept, you can transition your Azure services right away—without any service interruption.

Next month, we’ll take a closer look at how the Microsoft Customer Agreement is used to purchase all offers available in the Cloud Solution Provider program.
