AbleBridge VAR-ISV Increases Visibility of Add-ons, Drives More Than $50,000 in Online Revenue

Both a value-added reseller and independent software vendor, AbleBridge provides implementation services and add-on solutions for Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

A Microsoft partner, AbleBridge takes advantage of the Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace to showcase its solutions and services online to potential customers and has found particular success in using the marketplace to showcase its Project Management, Lead Generation, and Insurance Benefits Brokers add-ons for Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Says Ryan Plourde, Principal for AbleBridge, “Over the last six months, our insurance, lead generation, and project management add-ons have resulted in more than $50,000 in booked revenue. But, more importantly, each opportunity has had a very short sales cycle.”

In helping the company drive revenue through the web, Plourde notes that the Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace has helped the company improve its ranking in search engines, with many of its sales via the marketplace coming from organic search and being first-page results. When a customer comes to AbleBridge’s listing and makes an inquiry into the related service or solution, AbleBridge then establishes the prospective customer as an opportunity in its own system based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM and provides that prospect with a trial add-on. Says Plourde, “Over the last quarter, we’ve had an average of three inbound inquiries each day with an 8 percent conversion rate.”

Driving success with the marketplace does take its due diligence, Plourde notes. “We took all the necessary steps, including going through the Microsoft Platform Ready program, to make sure our solutions were compatible with both Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online so that we could target the largest customer base,” he says.

AbleBridge also closely monitors its listings so that it can adjust them strategically to drive more sales. Explains Plourde, “Based on the traffic we get for our individual solutions in the Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace, we can gauge what’s working and what’s not working so that we can focus on the solutions that are garnering the most attention and adjust our product strategy for those that aren’t.”

The Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace hasn’t been AbleBridge’s first foray into selling online, but as Plourde puts it, “We have tried other places for listing our partner services, but the Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace has yielded the best results.”
