Partners in Learning Higher Education

Microsoft Partners in Learning is a nearly $500 million initiative aimed at helping educators and students reach their full potential. By joining us you can take part in our Academic Summits, Teacher Education Initiative, and Higher Education Consortium.

Academic Summits

Attend one of these informative events designed to help leaders in higher education better understand the benefits of technology in teaching, research, and administration. These one or two day programs include representatives from Microsoft and our technology partners meeting with your key staff to help you better understand how technology can improve teaching and learning on your campus. Each summit includes:

  • A business case presented by a higher education organization
  • The technology solution presented by Microsoft or one of our partners
  • Roundtable discussion about your specific challenges and technology solutions to meet them

Partners in Learning Teacher Education Initiative

New teachers are excited to learn about the latest tools to make teaching more enjoyable and more effective. That’s why they are perfectly suited for education about new technologies. This initiative offers a professional development workshop for your school of education faculty to help them teach the use of new technologies to pre-service teachers. The initiative also helps your faculty incorporate these new technologies into their own practices ultimately benefiting your organization.

Microsoft is partnering with nine universities around the world to develop this two-day workshop for education faculty. Each institution will send faculty members to be part of our advisory board to create the workshop syllabi and facilitate the first series of workshops.
