Siyuan Ma is a materials researcher in the Applied Sciences Group at Microsoft.  His research interests include flexible electronics, functional materials printing techniques, sensors, and nanotechnology for consumer electronic applications.  He also supports innovation in materials and process for Microsoft hardware development.

Before joining the Applied Sciences Group, he received his Ph.D. in materials science and engineering in 2015 from the State University of New York at Binghamton.  The work of his Ph.D. involved developing advanced materials and process to achieve highly electrically conductive patterns with drop-on-demand inkjet printing technique.

In his spare time, Siyuan enjoys watching soccer games and sci-fi movies.  He is also a big fan of all kinds of cars.
