Reviewer training

Our human reviewers teams are diverse and received extensive training on our policies including the rationale behind them and how to apply them accurately. We also periodically check or audit decisions to ensure the policies are being applied consistently.

Human reviewers receive ongoing coaching and training as sometimes laws change, new types of harms surface, or policies need to adapt. For high-consequence harms, like child sexual exploitation and abuse, specialized teams receive additional focused training.

Keeping people safe online isn’t easy. At times, human reviewer teams need to review graphic and disturbing content. To safeguard their health, we provide support and wellness resources. The wellness program includes, among other things, well-being options in our moderator tooling, counseling, and workplace environment support.
