You may have noticed that in addition to the latest release of features in Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS), VSTS has rebranded the service to Azure DevOps. Here’s how this affects Lifecycle Services (LCS), Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Retail.
We are pleased to announce the availability of the Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations and Dynamics 365 for Retail Newsletter in Lifecycle Services. This will be a monthly newsletter highlighting key announcements and spotlighting features in the products that you can use.
[Update – 13th September, 2018 – All issues related to this outage have been resolved. ] [Update: Most of the services that were impacted as a result of this outage have now been recovered. So many of the issues that you were experiencing yesterday should now be fixed.
When you submit an incident by using the Lifecycle Services Support flow, you might receive a message which says, “Misconfigured professional error.” This error prevents you from submitting a support case to Microsoft. This error occurs when an email address is missing from either the PartnerSource Business Center (for partners) or CustomerSource (for customers).
Currently, under Software deployable packages in the Shared asset library in Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS), multiple platform update packages (Platform Update 2 through Platform Update 12) are available in the global scope for customers to download and apply.
For environments deployed in your subscription that are not managed by Microsoft, the WinRM SSL certificate will expire one year from the date the environment was deployed. If your WinRM SSL certificate has expired, you will see the following error message when rotating secrets using the Maintain > Rotate Secrets through Lifecycle Services.
To rotate certificates on machines created from the Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations downloadable VHD, complete the following steps for each certificate. Sample PowerShell scripts are provided where applicable. 1. Identify which certificates will expire in the next two months. Get-ChildItem -path Cert:\LocalMachine\My | Where {$_.NotAfter -lt $(get-date).
On April 22 2018, we released a feature in LCS that enabled Project owners and Environment managers to rotate the SSL certificate on the one-box environments deployed in their own subscription using the Rotate secrets feature. Since then we have had customers ask questions as well as report some issues.
On April 23 2018 17:00:00 UTC, the SSL certificate on one-box environments that are under your subscription and not managed by Microsoft, will expire. Project owners or Environment managers can rotate the certificate from LCS.
