Microsoft Unified Service Descriptions

Service descriptions, terms, and delivery information for Microsoft Unified and related offerings.

Welcome to the Microsoft Unified Service Descriptions

The Microsoft Unified Service Descriptions provide service descriptions, delivery information, and key terms for Microsoft Unified and related offerings.

Important information for existing Unified customers:

The Microsoft Unified Service Descriptions (MUSD) is the successor to the Unified Support Services Description (USSD). This update modernizes how service information is presented through a web-based experience with improved navigation, searchability, and readability. As our services evolve, we may periodically update these Service Descriptions. Such updates will not materially diminish or reduce the services and entitlements customers have already purchased.

Some existing Work Orders may continue to reference USSD.

    • Service communications. Microsoft may send service-related communications (for example, security, service, and product update notices) to company email addresses associated with Customer’s account.
    • Third parties. If Customer requests multi-vendor assistance, or for certain supported scenarios involving Microsoft and third-party technologies or services, Microsoft may coordinate with applicable third parties on issue resolution. All third parties remain responsible for their products and services and for meeting their own support obligations.
